![]() ![]() # watermarker.pyįrom pdfrw import PdfReader, PdfWriter, PageMergeĭef watermarker(path, watermark, output): Let’s create a simple watermarker script to demonstrate how you might use pdfrw to overlay one PDF on top of another. We will actually use the overlay technique for filling in PDF forms in chapter 17. You can also use the overlay one PDF on top of another PDF. For example, you might want to watermark a PDF with your buyer’s email address or with your logo. You can use pdfrw to watermark your PDF with some kind of information. This code ran pretty fast on my machine and the output is what you would expect. If the page is an odd numbered page, we rotate it and then add that page to our writer object. Then we grab all the pages and iterate over them. Here we just open up the target PDF and create a writer object. Rotate_odd('reportlab-sample.pdf', 'rotate_odd.pdf') Note that in pdfrw you must rotate clockwise in increments that are divisible by 90 degrees.įor this example, I created a function that will extract all the odd pages from the input PDF and rotate them 90 degrees: # rotator.py So if you happen to have a PDF that was saved in a weird way or an intern that scanned in some documents upside down, then you can use pdfrw (or PyPDF2) to fix the PDFs. The pdfrw package also supports rotating the pages of a PDF. Then we write out the concatenated PDF to disk. In this case, we add the title, author, subject and creator script information to the PDF. Just for fun, we also import IndirectPdfDict, which allows us to add some trailer information to our PDF. Then iterate over those paths, open the file and add all the pages to the writer object via the writer’s addpages method. In this example, we create a function called concatenate that accepts a list of paths to PDFs that we want to concatenate together and the output path. Let’s write up a simple example that demonstrates how to do it: # concatenator.pyįrom pdfrw import PdfReader, PdfWriter, IndirectPdfDict The pdfrw package makes merging multiple PDFs together very easy. Finally we write the extracted pages to disk. ![]() In each iteration, we attempt to extract a page from the input PDF and add that page to our writer object. Then we create a PdfWriter object and loop over the range of pages that we passed in. Then we open up the file using pdfrw’s PdfReader class and grab the total number of pages from the input PDF. Here we create a function called split that takes an input PDF file path, the number of pages that you want to extract and the output path. Split('reportlab-sample.pdf', 10, 'subset.pdf') ![]() # splitter.pyĭef split(path, number_of_pages, output): For this example, we will use my ReportLab book’s sample chapter PDF that you can download on Leanpub. For example, maybe you want to take the cover off of a book for some reason or you just want to extract the chapters of a book into multiple PDFs instead of storing them in one file. You can also use pdfrw to split a PDF up. I haven’t figured out exactly why that is, but I am assuming that PyPDF2 does some extra data massaging on the PDF trailer information that pdfrw currently does not do. If you run this against the reportlab-sample.pdf file that I also included in the source code for this article, you will find that the author name that is returned ends up being ” instead of “Michael Driscoll”. Note: I am using the standard W9 form from the IRS for this example. While pdfrw does let you get the Info object, it displays it in a less friendly way. If you have using PyPDF2 in the past, then you may recall that PyPDF2 let’s you extract an document information object that you can use to pull out information like author, title, etc. The pdfrw package does not extract data in quite the same way that PyPDF2 does. Now that we have pdfrw installed, let’s learn how to extract some information from our PDFs. Let’s get that done so we can start using pdfrw: python -m pip install pdfrw Code can be found on GitHub.Īs you might expect, you can install pdfrw using pip. Note: This article is based on my book, ReportLab: PDF Processing with Python. Combining the use of pdfrw and ReportLab.Extract certain types of information from a PDF.In this article, we will learn how to do the following: You can also use pdfrw in conjunction with ReportLab to re-use potions of existing PDFs in new PDFs that you create with ReportLab. The pdfrw package has been used by the rst2pdf package (see chapter 18) since 2010 because pdfrw can “faithfully reproduce vector formats without rasterization”. With that version, it supports subsetting, merging, rotating and modifying data in PDFs. At the time of writing, pdfrw was at version 0.4. The pdfrw package is a pure-Python library that you can use to read and write PDF files. Patrick Maupin created a package he called pdfrw and released it back in 2012. ![]()

Mlp the smooze3/24/2023 ![]() ![]() Megan is also very clever, usually outsmarting opponents too strong to directly face or when the Rainbow of Light is not in her possession.Īs a girl who seemingly took care of a ranch on her own (her parents were never seen or mentioned), Megan is highly athletic for her age. Through the Rainbow of Light, she has killed two of the greatest threats Ponyland has known: Tirac and Lavan. Having confronted all kinds of horrors across Dream Valley, Megan might be kind but she is very brave and capable of eliminating the biggest of threats, regardless of how scary they may be. In comparison to her often bratty or confrontational siblings, Megan is always kind and friendly towards the ponies, rarely losing her temper unless the younger ponies have done something wrong, at which point she acts in a rather motherly fashion, which was her role in many episodes. During that time, she helped the ponies free the enslaved Bushwoolies from Catrina and reformed her. She eventually returned to Ponyland, where the ponies throw her a 'Welcome Back' party. After defeating Tirac, Firefly took her back home, taking the locket with her. During her quest, she encounters the Sea Ponies and the Moochick, who gave her a heart-shaped locket which contains the Rainbow of Light. She was first brought to Dream Valley by Firefly to help save her friends from the Master of Midnight Castle, Tirac, and his army of darkness. She was voiced by Tammy Amerson in the first two specials and the movie, and Bettina Bush (who also voices Rainbow Brite) in the cartoon. She keeps the Rainbow of Light, a special locket which contains a powerful rainbow to defeat anything that is evil threatening the ponies. Gentle and motherly, but also mature and resourceful in addition to her sweetness and beauty, she acts as the Little Ponies' leader, and in times of crisis the ponies often fly across the rainbow to find her. She and her siblings, Danny and Molly live on a ranch where she keeps a horse named TJ, and a bull named Tauro. She became the main human protagonist of the first My Little Pony series, first appearing in the 19 specials Rescue at Midnight Castle and Escape from Catrina, then the 1986 film My Little Pony: The Movie and the cartoon that followed (simply titled My Little Pony, but later retitled My Little Pony 'n Friends). Thunderbird roller rink3/24/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() My son is 5 and could not skate for very long so he asked if he could walk with us while we skated. Along with their lack of technology, there will be no reciepts given. To go along with it, they do all of their book keeping out of a notebook and require cash for every single thing- even her $300 HAD to be cash. So think about showing up and waiting in line to get in just to be turned around to go somewhere else to get cash, with your children. All of the parents and any siblings were required to pay ($7) for the rentals. She bought a $300 dollar package and was never told that ONLY the children were able to get free skates. My friend planned her 6 year old's birthday party there. Go check out the rink on a Saturday before you book so you can see if it works for you. getting the private party so that you don't have to share the rink, especially if your kids are younger.\rĢ. We have used discount mugs before for water bottles made for rock climbling last year and had a gtreat experience as well. I also made chocolate molds of roller skates (from amazon). And If your looking for suggestions as for gift bags we had tee shirts made that said my open skate and a roller skate on it through discount mugs (whom we've used before). I also got a ton of glow in the dark necklaces from oriental trading company since we did a glow and roll. We have had birthday parties at all the usual spots (bounce houses, Lifetime fitness, etc) and I can honestly say I thought this was the best one. The kids never seemed bored and mine were upset when it was time to leave after 2 hours. The dj took the kids requests and played games like limbo etc. Not ONE of the employees was rude at all. I would ask next time if I could bring in maybe bottles of water, that would have been helpful. Oh soda/drinks were included in the price. But I brough a bottle of hand sanitizer for each table. Obviously it is a roller rink and not the most sanitary place so there's always room for improvement. They also allowed us to use the skate assists which looked like walkers on wheels for the little kids, who absoletly LOVED skating because of them. And the kids were anxious to hurry and eat so they could get back out to skating again. We brought our own cake and table settings. The pizza was actually pretty good (16 inch pizzas) I ordered 5 for 50 people and it worked perfectly. We spent the extra $100 for the private party up to 50 skaters and had about 25 kids and their parents skating. I'm not sure how manyemployees worked the party, but there were at least 3 people making and slicing the pizzas, a dj (who also offered to use my camera and take pictures, while taking requests, awesome!) and the owner must have asked me about 20 times if there was anything I needed. ![]() But I paid by CHECK (I saw someone mentioned they don't acceot check or credit) my $100 deposit and paid the reminder by debit card at the end of the party. But I have to say it was GREAT! I don't know when the management changed and if I was dealing with the old management the complaints seem to be about or new management. I was skeptical because I had read all the negative reviews. Just this past weekend I had my son's birthday party here. ![]()
